Perfect Holographic: H5

Today I would like to show you Perfect Holographic H5. H5 is a light pink/light magenta holographic polish. It is really important to shake the bottle up a LOT before application. This was the first Perfect Holographic polish I swatched, and you will see in the pictures that it looks like two different shades. The first time I wore it, it looks more like Nfu Oh 64.  The second time I wore it, I added a bit of thinner to the bottle, shook it up like crazy, and then applied it.  It was then more of a light pink holo, kind of like Sally Hansen Magicals Nail Make Up in Fairy Dust Pink. So I guess you can shake it up as much as you like to get the desired shade!

Swatches below are two coats of H5 over one coat of Nfu Oh Aqua Base.

I did not try top coat over it at this time.

Here is my original swatch stick comparison with Nfu Oh 64 (original version) and H5.  At this point, it looked more like Nfu Oh 64 than Nfu Oh 63. I will be taking more photos and re-swatching it next to 63 at some point.

JOSS FX Colours: Sudden Impulse

Sudden Impulse is a very bright pink that pulls to orange on me. I remember seeing this on More Nail Polish and never, ever thought I would own it!  Pictures just don't do it justice! 

Swatches below are two coats of Sudden Impulse over one coat of Instant Artificials.  No top coat. It applied very easily, but be careful not to put too think of a layer on or else you might get bubbles.

Perfect Holographic: H8

Perfect Holographic H8 is a medium magenta shade with a fairly strong holographic flame. It was difficult to apply at first because the brush is tiny and the formula is on the thick side. I added a few drops of thinner to the bottle, shook it up a lot (like the sticker on the bottle says) and then it was a breeze to apply!  Swatches below are two coats of H8 over one coat of Nfu Oh Aqua Base.

After I added thinner to this bottle, I found that I could use a top coat over it without too much dulling. It was very, very minimal.  However, prior to adding the thinner top coat did dull it.  If you are worried about your holo dulling, I would recommend doing a top coat/holo sandwich to extend wear and keep the holo effect strong.

So far, H8 is my favorite out of the collection!

Here is H8 next to the original version of Nfu Oh 64 and Color Club Miss Bliss to give you an idea of what the base shade looks like. It is much more saturated of a magenta than Miss Bliss, although both are extremely pretty.

JOSS FX Colours: Tantastic Glow

JOSS FX Colours Tantastic Glow is a beautiful goldish-tan holographic polish.  The holographic particles give it more of a scattered holo look. It reminds me of a lot of Glitter Gal Bronze Sparkle.  I need to swatch both of these side-to-side at some point so I can show you what they look like together. I have a feeling this will look amazing in the summer with a nice sun tan!

This is another great polish from JOSS.  It applied very well and didn't need a special base or top coat. In the swatches below I used two coats of Tantastic Glow over one coat of Instant Artificials.  No top coat was used.

Dance Legend Prisms: Fantastic Trip

Dance Legend Fantastic Trip is a beautiful coppery-nude polish with a nice, strong linear holographic shimmer to it.  It applies very easily and does not require any special base coats or top coats.  Swatches below are 2 coats of Fantastic Trip over one coat of Instant Artificials.  I used on coat of NYC Grand Central Station as the top coat and noticed no distinct dulling.

  

I have found that the Dance Legend Prisms have a stronger holographic appearance that the recently released China Glaze Hologlams, they apply more easily and less "chrome-y" and wear like iron. If you have been on the fence on getting the Hologlams, I would recommend the Prisms over them anyday!
